Bulbul Ahmed was born on September 15, 1941 in Dacca, Bengal Presidency, British India [now in Dhaka, Bangladesh]. He was an actor and director, known for Rajlokkhi Srikanto (1987), Shimana Periye (1977) and Bodhu Biday (1978). He was married to Daisy Ahmed. He died on July 15, 2010 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.Bulbul Ahmed, original name Tabarruk Ahmed, was born on September 15, 1941 on Agamosi Lane, old Dhaka.He won the National Film Award of Bangladesh three times in Best Actor category for his roles in Shimana Periye (1977), Bodhu Biday (1978) and Shesh Uttor (1980).He made his debut on the small screen in 1968.His debut film was Yea Kore Biye (1972), where he acted in a supporting role as Lebu.Bulbul embarked on his own journey as an actor through stage drama in 1965.Bulbul embarked on his own journey as an actor through stage drama in 1965.He worked as a banker from 1965 till 1975.
Bulbul drew his inspiration through peeping at the rehearsal of his father Khalil Ahmed, who was a government employee and an amateur actor.His directorial debut was Rajlokkhi Srikanto (1987) for which he received National Film Award of Bangladesh as the Best Director.
